Freight Shipping Policy
The majority of the grills sold on our website have to be shipped via LTL freight on standard pallets since they are too large and heavy for standard shipping carriers. These freight shipments will require access for a semi-truck and trailer to be delivered. If you live in a limited access area or outside of the delivery area, it may be necessary to pick your product up at the nearest freight terminal. We will not be responsible for additional fees or compensate for deliveries in these areas. If a residential or remote access address is provided during the checkout process, one of our customer service representatives will reach out to you to discuss what shipping options are available to you.
Once the order shipped, a representative from the shipping carrier will reach out to you to schedule a delivery time. Most of the time, the shipping carrier will reach out to you a day before or the morning of the estimated delivery date. It is extremely important to leave a reliable phone number during the checkout process as that is the phone number we give to the shipping carriers so they can contact you. If a reliable phone number is not left, it can significantly slow down the delivery time of freight shipments.
Once your grill is delivered, please take a few minutes to examine the exterior of your package for any visible damage. It’s considered best practice to unpack your item at the time of delivery while the driver is present. If you do notice any damage at the time of delivery, it is extremely important to note it on the Proof of Delivery (POD) slip that you’ll receive from the driver. Take photos of the noted damage and email them to us at info@robidouxinc.com. In most cases it is in everyone’s best interest to refuse delivery of the product if damage of any kind is noted. If you choose to accept the freight, you will be responsible for filing any claims with the freight company for damage reimbursement. We will not be responsible for damaged items that are not noted on the POD. By signing the proof of delivery you accept ownership of the property in its current condition.
